British Army medics arrive in Czech Republic to help with Covid fight

A team of six British Army medics has arrived in the Czech Republic, where they will assist Czech colleagues in trying to contain the coronavirus epidemic. The group will serve at Brno Military Hospital, Czech deputy defence minister Jan Havránek said after welcoming them in Prague on Tuesday. The UK’s ambassador to the Czech Republic, Nick Archer, also attended the team’s introductory meeting.

A number of US National Guard medics and two German doctors are already working alongside counterparts in the Czech Republic.
