Břeclav authorities to give rewards to citizens who report on vandals

The authorities in the south Moravian town of Břeclav have announced plans to give cash rewards to citizens who report on graffiti sprayers and other vandals. A spokesperson for the local town hall said that repairing damage to property in Břeclav cost CZK 50,000 a month and officials had run out of patience with the perpetrators. Similar reward systems have proven successful in towns such as Hodonín, Jihlava and Třebíč. No figure for was given for how much those who report vandals will receive.
